Philanthropic & Community Service

One way to give back to our community of Fallbrook is to get involved.  Here are a few of the ways we, as a club, help support our local community of beautiful Fallbrook.

Fallbrook Woman's Club Philanthropic Giving

Donations are made possible by our membership, with funds generated through various fundraising events, tenacious hard work, and personal donations.  Of course, we always manage to have fun too!

Committee Focus

Annually, a committee is established to select organizations that will reflect the greatest impact on the community of our hard-earned dollars. The position of the Fallbrook Woman's Club is in support of maintaining the charm and beauty of Fallbrook, gratitude, and encouragement for the needs of Veterans, care of our senior community, concern and compassion for our youth, enlightenment for all, a love of Animals, and recognition of the importance of our business community.

2024 Philanthropic Recipients

Scholarships

Fallbrook Woman’s Club supports local high school students by awarding scholarships to a select few moving on to college. A team of Fallbrook Woman’s Club members get together once a year to review all applicants. Recipients are chosen by a stringent set of rules, i.e., academia, student’s involvement with the community, financial needs, etc. Once selected, students are notified by the club of their award. Money is sent directly to their college or trade school.

Student of the Month

Fallbrook Woman’s Club supports local high school students through Student of the Month by giving gift cards. The monthly awards are presented by a community organization and the event is held at North Coast Church. The students selected are given scholarship awards and opportunities.

Students are chosen from the Fallbrook Union High School District, which includes Fallbrook, Ivy and Oasis High Schools.  Students are nominated by their teachers and are presented with gifts from local groups. Fallbrook Woman’s Club proudly supports these chosen students.

Raising Funds through Various Activities

We raise funds through our Attic Sale, Clubs Miscellaneous Auction, Parking Lot Space Rental during the Avocado Festival, Sees Candy Sales, Carriage House Players Mystery Play, and Mahjong with Friends.

Fallbrook Avocado Festival

Once a year, the Fallbrook Woman’s Club sponsors our parking lot as a fundraiser for the visitors to Fallbrook’s annual Avocado Festival. This event has grown to the size of over 100,000 people. Folks can park safely in our lot for a minimal fee and walk a few blocks to the beginning of Avocado Paradise. Shopping can be on their minds instead of worrying about their vehicles. Wouldn’t you trust these lovely ladies?

Community Clean-Up

Image
In November, we participated alongside the Fallbrook Beautification Alliance and “I Love a Clean San Diego” to pick up trash. We were able to rid our streets of an entire pick-up truck full of debris from newspapers, political signs, food wrappers, car parts and mini liquor bottles. What better way to help our community than to clean it up!!!
